Aark Design Tools legal information

These terms apply to current Aark Pixel-to-Vector accounts and purchases.

Aark Design Tools is the umbrella product family and shared customer account. This purchase contract covers Aark Pixel-to-Vector only. Pixel Studio, Vector Builder, Threadform and the Complete Toolkit are in development and are not included.

Aark Design Tools: Aark Pixel-to-Vector Terms of Use

Who provides Aark Pixel-to-Vector

Aark Design Tools is the product family provided by David Metcalf, a sole trader trading as Aark, of 23B Moorland Way, Nelson Industrial Estate, Cramlington, NE23 1WE, United Kingdom. Aark Pixel-to-Vector is the first available tool. Contact: aarkshop@hotmail.com or the Aark Design Tools Support Centre.

The product

Aark Pixel-to-Vector converts raster or pixel artwork into downloadable SVG files in the browser. At launch, source artwork and exported SVGs are intended to remain on the user’s device. Users must save, test and back up their own files. Results may vary with the source image, browser, device and SVG viewer.

Licence and artwork

Aark retains ownership of Aark Pixel-to-Vector and its code, interface, algorithms, documentation and branding. Customers receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the hosted software while their entitlement is active. Aark does not claim ownership of customer artwork or output merely because Aark Pixel-to-Vector was used. Customers must have permission to convert and use imported artwork.

Accounts and acceptable use

Customers must be at least 18 years old, provide accurate account information and protect access to their email account. Access controls, free allowances and payment controls must not be bypassed. Access must not be shared, resold, automated for bulk exploitation, used to attack the service or used unlawfully. Security and concurrency controls may apply, but an undisclosed ordinary-use export cap will not be called unlimited.

Coming-soon products

Pixel Studio, Vector Builder and Threadform are not part of an Aark Pixel-to-Vector purchase. They are not currently offered for sale and descriptions may change; no release date, price or feature set is promised.

Purchase, cancellation and refund terms

Ten-export pack

The pack costs £2.99 once and adds ten Aark Pixel-to-Vector export credits. It does not renew. A credit is used only when an SVG is successfully generated and made available to download. Paid credits do not expire while Aark Pixel-to-Vector and the account continue, and they are not automatically refunded merely because they remain unused. If no credit from a paid pack has been used, the policy is a full refund on request within 14 days. Once a paid credit from that pack has been used, no ordinary change-of-mind refund is promised; statutory rights, faults and fair exceptional cases still receive human review. Permanent service closure requires a fair remedy for unusable paid value.

Monthly unlimited

The subscription costs £5.99 per month and renews automatically each month until cancelled. It provides unlimited ordinary individual Aark Pixel-to-Vector exports during an active paid period. Cancellation stops the next renewal and access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period, subject to statutory rights.

Twelve-month pass

The founding pass costs £29.99 once and provides unlimited ordinary individual Aark Pixel-to-Vector exports for twelve months. It does not renew automatically. The Account page will show the access end date.

Immediate supply and refunds

At checkout, customers separately request supply to begin immediately and acknowledge that using the digital service may affect cancellation rights. Faulty, misdescribed or undelivered products remain subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Cancellation and human review

Monthly subscriptions will be cancellable online and through support. Cancellation, refund, complaint, privacy, copyright and serious security or safety decisions are always routed to a human and are never finally decided by AI.

Privacy summary

Aark Design Tools uses account details, entitlement records, transaction references and limited security information to provide and protect the shared customer account and the Aark tools a customer chooses to use. At this first launch, the paid entitlements described here apply only to Aark Pixel-to-Vector. Stripe handles card details in its hosted checkout; Aark does not receive or store raw card numbers. Support conversations are kept separately and protected by account access rules.

The intended launch design keeps source artwork and exported SVGs on the customer’s device. Customers must not send card details, passwords, access tokens, confidential artwork, raw source images or exported SVGs through Support.

Account deletion and retention

A verified permanent-account-deletion request closes access immediately and ordinary account details are deleted within 30 days. Routine backups age out within 90 days. If unused credits, a paid pass or a subscription remain, deletion pauses for human review so paid value is not lost accidentally. Subscription cancellation is a separate action.

Payment, tax and consent evidence is kept separately for six years, or ten years where an applicable overseas VAT or OSS record-keeping rule requires it. Security and authentication logs are normally kept for 90 days. Support messages and identifiable ticket data are deleted or anonymised within 12 months after closure, and permitted support screenshots or diagnostic attachments within 30 days. Documented security incidents, complaints, disputes and legal duties may require a limited longer hold.

Source artwork and exported SVGs are not retained by Aark Pixel-to-Vector. Any exceptional temporary server-side diagnostic file must be deleted within 24 hours. After identifiable support data is removed, only genuinely anonymous recurring-issue totals may be retained.

The detailed Privacy Policy, Cookie and Browser Identity Policy, provider register and international-transfer information are maintained as part of Aark’s privacy documentation. Retention and deletion procedures remain subject to ongoing technical and professional review.
